KJ's first fAdE....

 KJ got a hair cut a week ago from a good friend of mine and look how much it has already grown in one week!

This past week my cousin Tava and her husband Vili Lino opened up a barber shop in Orem. The opening day was Tuesday October 18th! We wanted to show our love and support and decided to go and get Kj's haircut and Kepu lined up and shaved. I didn't take any pictures of Kepu and his new hair cut and freshly shaved face but I took some of KJ! He wanted a lightening bolt design and is absolutely in love with it!

8 Months Old....

This past Tuesday October 4th Nafe turned 8 months old! Oh how fast time has flown!! 

 My mom used to tell me all the time if she could put us kids in a bottle so we never grew up she would. At that time I thought she was crazy for thinking that... but now that I've become a mom I completely know how and what she was feeling. 

Not only did Nafe turn 8 months old this week but he has now master the task of crawling... CRAWLING!! I am not ready for that to say the least. He is also at the stage where he recognizes people he knows. I love when I come home from work and he gives me the biggest smile ever, it sure makes my day! He is the happiest baby (besides KJ he was a happy baby too) I know! Even though he is teething he tries his best to always smile. His best friend these days is his older brother KJ! The moment Kj walks into the room Nafe just starts laughing and smiling uncontrollably. I'm so grateful to have Nafe apart of our family! We waited a long 4 1/2 years for him to join, but his timing couldn't be any better.

Family Home Evening :)

Kj has done so well with school, getting his homework done, and helping around that house that we promised him we'd go to Nickle City for Family Home Evening! While we were there we called up Aunty Lia and Aunty Mai to come and join us. After spending 2+ hours there we were finally out of nickles and had enough tickets to last us!!! KJ& Kepu had a blast, Nafe & I were exhausted, and we were happy to have two of KJ favorite aunties join us! 

I'm so grateful for my family and couldn't imagine my life without them! KJ & Nafe are truly a gift from our Heavenly Father and I will do everything in my power to keep them safe and teach them everything I know about the gospel.

 Boys can be BOYS!!!

This was KJ's first time to the hospital as a patient since he was 3 months old! Saturday September 10th I was in the kitchen trying to make some dinner and Kepu and the boys were in the living room watching the BYU game... things were intense with Kepu... especially since BYU was down in the fourth quarter!

Next thing I heard SMACK (the sound of Kj hitting his head on our TV table). I came running into the front room to see what had happened and much to my amazed KJ wasn't crying but holding his heading telling me "mommy my head hurts!" As I moved his hand from his forehead I saw the deepest gash with blood easily flowing out of it. Trying not to freak out we were able to apply pressure and drove him to the hospital. Oh don't worry KJ started crying once he saw the blood on his hands and realized we'd be going to the hospital. He didn't go without a fight but after getting him calmed and some medication to sedate him the doctor was able to put 3 stitches inside the gash and 9 outside.

That Monday when Kj returned to school apparently a lot of the girls in his class asked him about his stitches. He thought he was pretty cool after that!

I'm sure this wont be our first trip to the hospital for stitches!

BYU Football

BYU football has begun!!

Kepu is a die hard BYU fan and now that football season is in full swing our Saturdays schedule will now be catered around BYU kickoff time!

Perfect example; I tried to make plans this Saturday to go to the State Fair with some friends between 4-5 pm until Kepu so kindly reminded me that the game started at 5 and therefore our plans had to change.

Don't get me wrong I grew up being a BYU football fan (and still am a fan) and always went to their games! I remember growing up my parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins would all sit in our season seat in portal WW right in the middle of the filed goal polls.

Thank goodness I'm an understanding wife and have learned in the last 6 years that it's not worth a headache trying to get him to do/go anywhere during the game.

Pick and choose your battles... this is one I don't want to battle because I know I'll lose!

Happy Anniversary to my one and only eternal companion! I can't believe 6 years has come and gone, we have learned and done so much! I love you babe and can't wait to see what the future has in store for us in the many years to come!!!!

Therapy.....

I can't believe how therapeutic it was to write in here yesterday. I seriously felt so much better after posting pictures and writing thoughts that have been in my head. Eventually this blog will just be filled with thoughts and emotions that I'm dealing with and not sure how to handle. Lately I have been feeling anxiety and am always tired. I've gone to the doctor and did blood work... he said everything was fine so prescribed me some anti-anxiety/ depression medication... a part of me doesn't want to take those pills because I know that eventually everything will be fine, but the other part of me is telling me to just take them! I still haven't decided what I am going to do, I still haven't picked up the prescriptions from the pharmacy. I know that whatever it is I am going through the Lord is by my side and will help me make the right decision.


I must thank Kepu for everything he has done for me and my family! :) He has been so supportive throughout this emotional roller coaster I feel like I've been on for sometime and that's the best I could ask for! Nothing in this world make things better than having a loving spouse who loves you for you and supports you without judgement! I know that I couldn't go thought these emotional breakdowns without him. I'm truly blessed to have him apart of my life for now and for all eternity!

Nafe Growing Up!!!!

Since I did a post on KJ, I decided I'd do an updated post on Nafe! :) This baby of mine is such a blessing in my life! Even though he is turing 7 months on the 4th of September he looks like he's 12 months old! He brings so much joy to our family! He is such a character and I love seeing new traits come out as the days go by.

I love watching both my boys interact with each other! A love for a sibling is something that cannot be duplicated!

I'm so grateful to have my two amazing, healthy, beautiful boys in my life!!!

KJ's first day of Kindergarten!!!!!

Yesterday August 30, 2011 was my KJ's first day of Kindergarten!!! I can't believe how fast he's grown up! I can still remember the day I went into labor with him as if it were yesterday. I didn't think that his time of starting school would come so fast, but it did!!! I guess when we're having fun time just has to fly right by us! The first thing he said to me when we got to school was "see ya later mom!" like he had no fear of starting a new chapter in his life. I'm not going to lie I was filled with mixed emotions! I wanted to cry thinking my baby was starting school and is growing up on me too fast, that the next step in life for him is getting baptized (yeah I think I'm crazy for thinking that far ahead, but when time flies it flies!) But I also wanted to jump for joy knowing that he'll be gaining knowledge and skills that we couldn't teach him at home and for the fact he'll get some of the never ending energy out at school.

When Kepu picked up after his first day of school the first words that came out of his mouth was "Dad I'm so so sorry! I didn't listen to my teacher today and I talk to much!" bahahaha sounds totally like the KJ I know! He knew we would find out sooner than later how he acted in class so he was coving his steps before he got caught! :) He's too smart for his own good! lol

I love being a mom! It is the hardest job on earth yet the most rewarding one at that!!!! I love my family!

Foot Surgery......

I'm not sure how many people have it.... a BUNION..... yeah these freaking things HURT!!! I've had one on my right foot for as long as I can remember (even past 3rd grade) and just in the last few months it has been causing me so much pain! Since we made our out of pocket max deductible through our insurance I figures WHY NOT get this stupid thing taken care of. So on Thursday August 25th I had the dumb thing removed! :) I can't tell you whether it's been a good decision or not only because my foot still throbs at the moment but I'm sure once the healing has completed I'll think nothing but the best from this decision! I had x-rays taken today to see how everything was healing and so far so good. I have two small screws where they had to break my big toe and re-aligned it... and in 3 weeks I'll get the cast removed! :) I can't wait!!!!!

Home improvements!!! :)

I know I've always stated that today will be the day I'll keep up with my blog... well obviously that's been false seeing that my last blog was in April. I have decided that since I'm not very good on keeping a personal journal that I'd just keep thing updated and posted here on my blog... isn't that what blogging is for?!?!?!

So much has happened in my family since April! :) This past summer Kepu has been going to summer school at UVU. This was his second semester of many to come and so far so good. We have realized that going to school full time in the summer isn't a very smart idea, seeing that all our family fun happens during this time and it would require him to miss school. I'm proud of him for getting through the semester and for wanting to go back in the fall! WAY TO GO BABE!!!

Once summer school ended for Kepu, we decided that we'd make some home renovations. On August 15th we decided we'd rip out the carpet and much to our surprise we found hard wood floors. And this is what we found....

I can't take any credit for doing anything, Kepu did it all while I was at work and watching the boys! :)

I thought it was too dark... so Kepu being the BEST HUSBAND ever re-sanded the entire floor and started from square one again! :)

Kepu did an amazing job getting the front part of our house looking brand new! :) I absolutely love the way it looks! The pictures only show the front room, but when we decided to start all over on the front room we also decided to get KJ's room done as well. Our next home project is to finish the my bedroom and the kitchen.... that will begin the next school break ;)

Nafe's Baby Blessing

Yesterday we blessed our sweet baby Nafe! It was an amazing experience and the spirit was so strong. Kepu blessed Nafe and I can't even express into words the feelings that overwhelmed my body and soul. I'm so grateful that I have a husband who honors his priesthood so he can be apart of such spiritual events! I want to THANK all my family and friends who came and supported us on the special day. I also want to THANK all the amazing men that stood in the circle to blessed baby Nafe, they are all amazing men who have been apart of Kepu or my life since we've been apart of this world. We LOVE our family so much!!! What a blessing it is to know that the people we love can be apart of our lives for eternity!

Baby Nafe

Baby Nafetalai Pita Alamoti Tauaalo was born February 4, 2011 at 7:14 am, he was 8 lbs 1 oz and 19 inches long. He has brought a new light into our lives and we feel truly blessed to have him here. He is named after 3 amazing men, our Grandfathers! As much as I don't want him to grow up I can't wait to see what life will bring to him and what he'll do with it. I love being his mom!

It's about time!!!

Wow I can't believe it’s been almost 1 year since my last update..... I need to make more effort in updating this blog or what's the point in having it?!?!?

Since my last blog so much has happened in my family.... here's a brief rundown of my family..

Kepu is currently a full time student! This is his first semester in school and so far so good. He's enjoying learning and getting back into the swing of things. This is the start to a long road ahead of us... but it’s all worth it! I'm so proud of him and his willingness to get an education. What a great example he is to my two boys! It just shows it doesn't matter how old you are or how long you've been out of school just as long as you go! He is an amazing husband who is supportive and understanding! I’m so happy he is my eternal companion and the love of my life!!

KJ is an energetic 4 1/2 year old. He does school almost every day with Kepu, which I truly am grateful for. This past year he has learned his ABC forward and backwards and can count to 50. It's so fun watching his little mind work constantly. He absolutely loves being a big brother to his baby Nafe... I was hesitant on how he would react in adding another person to our family but he's been amazing at it. He's the best helper around and I couldn't ask for more! We love him so much!!

Baby Nafe is our newest addition to our family! He joined us on February 4, 2011 even if he didn't want to come... lol. He is growing bigger and bigger every day. This past week we had a scare when he was having a hard time breathing. After visiting his doctor we were told to take him to Timpanogos Hospital for a breathing treatment and to be suctioned.... after doing all that he was still having a hard time breathing so they admitted us. He was making progress but quickly turned around... to make a long story short he was intubated and life flight to Primary Children Hospital. After spending a 3 days in the Pediatrics ICU he was making progress and we were moved to the floor. Thank goodness for prayers and faith he made a full recovery and was home earlier this week. We love having him apart of our family!!

I am still working full time with an amazing company. They have been nothing but supportive with my maternity leave and also extending it one week after baby ending up in the hospital. I have a new goal to start updating my blog at least once every 2 weeks or so even if it's a small post. I feel truly blessed for everything I have.

Quick Update

I guess updating at least once a month is better than not updating at all!!!

This past week we had girls camp up at Mia Shalom! I love it there! I went there as a young women and now as the girls camp director. I wasn't able to stay up there the entire week but was able to go up on Tuesday and Friday. I can't even express in words the feelings I had up there. The spirit was amazing!!! I love the leaders and girls in the AF2nd ward... they are SPECTACULAR!!

I know in my last post I said we had some news to announce.... well here it goes.... you ready...... okay....

After 3 1/2 years and numerous take home test we finally got a positive reading... yup now that KJ will be 4 this week we are finally adding to our little family!!! :) YAY! I'm still at the beginning stages of this pregnancy, which hasn't been easy. I was never sick... and I mean never sick with KJ but this one has put me through the loop again and again. I've never thrown up so much in the last month.... but I'm not complaining! We'll take whatever, I mean I'll take whatever just as long as this baby is healthy! :) We are so excited to have this new addition! There's nothing more sweet than listening to KJ say "good morning baby" "good night baby" and have him rub my tummy (even if most of what he's rubbing is fat....lol). I think he will be the BEST big brother ever!!!

WOW It's time to update!!!!

I don't think anyone follows my blog anymore but I've decided now is as good as time as any to update my blog!! :) Hopefully this will be the start to many more post!!!

Today is a bittersweet day! 3 years ago today we were blessed to have the most precious little princess Naimah in our lives. She was the first granddaughter in our family and we were filled with joy, love, and happiness to have her! I was blessed to have gone up to Logan for a week with my mom and KJ to spend time with Caroline, Emil, and sweet Naimah. That time spent together I will always be treasured!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY NAIMAH!!! WE LOVE AND MISS YOU!!!!

Also last night our other Princess Ami had surgery. She has been at Primary Children Hospital since Sunday because she wasn't keeping any foods/liquids down. When my brother BJ and sister in-law Amara took her into the ER Saturday morning they sent them home telling them it was the stomach flu..... well OBVIOUSLY it wasn't that when she ended right back there Sunday morning!! So far her recovery is going great! She's moved out of the PICU which is the best news I've received today!! AMI GET BETTER SOON!!! CAN'T WAIT FOR YOU TO COME HOME!!!

We also have some amazing news to share with everyone, but that will have to wait for another time!!!! :)

Tauaalo Family Vacation May 2009

On May 15, 2009 Kepu, Kj, and I got into our durango around 11pm and started our first family road trip! LA here we come! I can't tell you how excited I was to finally take a break from work, and our daily routine. As we stopped at Wal-mart before hitting the I-15 I was even more anxious to leave only because vacation was within my grasp. After buying a portable dvd player (for KJ of course) and some energy drink's (for Kepu) we were on our way. Kj's first road trip movie he wanted to watch was Bolt. Before the movie even started Kj was fast asleep in his car seat! As we passed Nephi I kept thinking to myself "could it be?!?! We are actually on vacation!" and before I knew it we were in St. George. My excitement of finally going on vacation wore me out and I fell fast asleep.

After 7 1/2 hours and me dosing in and out Kepu was a champ and got us there safely. We arrive at Maele and Jareds house around 6:30am. I was so happy that we were able to spend time with them. It was great time because that same weekend we were staying there Trisha was going to be there! I was so happy to see two of my cousins that I haven't seen for so long! We chatted for a little bit before Kepu was ready to drive to downtown LA. Remember he hadn't slept since he woke up the day before, but he was ready to go down memory lane. (He served his mission there.) I dont know what it was but once we got in the car KJ and I once again fell asleep (I'm the worse co-pilot ever!) Kepu woke me up once we could see downtown LA. I was amazing on the pollution there, but the scenery was still beautiful. The first place we decided to go to was the LA Temple. It was beautiful and the perfect day to go. I wish Kepu and I were able to do a session there but time didnt permit it from happening.

There were so many people there we didnt make it to the front of the temple but we were able to get some of the temple and the LA Mission home in the background.

Kepu stood there almost 5 years ago as a missionary! He was amazing on how the mission home still looked the same. It brought back so many wonderful memories that he will never forget! I enjoyed all the stories he was telling me about his mission.

Thank goodness for missions, it really makes a boy into a man!

Elder Mounga MTC 11/19/08

Elder Mounga left yesterday into the MTC to go serve the people of Cleveland OH for the next 2 years. I know that he will do an amazing job and the people in Cleveland are waiting to hear what he has to say! I'm so proud of Elder Mounga and the example he shows the younger generation! He will do an amazing job out there. He left as a boy and will come back as a man!

Gripes or Grattitude 11/13/08

My friend Jobi just tagged me! This tag is perfect! November is a good month to remember what we are grateful for soooo....find one thing that you gripe about and turn it into something you're grateful for. I work full time now as an office manager. First gripe I have about my job is that I have to leave my little guy KJ. I feel like I'm missing out on parts of his life. They are only little for so long and before I know it he'll be all grown up and moving out of my house. I gripe that I have to be at work at 8:30am! I gripe that I have to wake up early so that I can be at work on time. I wish that I could come in whenever and leave whenever! I gripe that no matter how much I work we never have enough money to go and do things when we want and how we want. I could gripe on for days but here's my list of I'm grateful for about "working full time" (not in any particular order)

1-I'm grateful to have a secured job, where I know that I wont lose my job anytime soon. I know that I may not be able to do what I want when I want but I know that I'm truly blessed to have what I have now!
2- I'm grateful to have the knowledge of what I'm doing
3-I'm grateful to be able to help provide for my family. I love being able to get Kepu and KJ things without feeling guilty about spending money.
4- I'm grateful to be work with people all over the world!
5-I'm grateful for the opportunity I had to learn what I know from my Aunty Melinda. She is the person that got my mom and I this job. Little did I know she would pass away 2 months after starting. She was an amazing women!
6- I'm grateful to have spent 2 months with my Aunty Melinda.
7- I'm grateful that if Kepu goes to school full time he wont have to worry about our finances because I'll be able to take care of them.

7 Random/Weird Facts 11/13/08

My cute sister in-law Caroline tagged me a couple of weeks ago. Sorry Caroline its taken me so long to do this! Here we go.....

1- I AbsOlutElY hAtE seafood! I'd rather starve than eat seafood.

2- I've hurt just about everything on my right side.... let me explain:

I've dislocated my rIght shoulder playing basketball. I've dislocated my rIght elbow in a car accident. I've broken my rIght middle finger after it was slammed in the car trunk by one of my brothers. I've strained my rIght knee during a skiing accident. I've torn the ligaments in my rIght ankle many times during the 4 years of volleyball... I think that's enough injury to my right side!

3-I was allergic to chocolate and peanut butter when I was a little kid. Go figure one of my favorite chocolate bars are Reeses!

4-I lOvEd being prEgnAnt!

5-After having KJ I've been allergic do pretty much All AnImAls! Poor guy because I know he would love to have a pet one of these days!

6-I hAtE the smell of tuna. I'm not sure what happened but when I was little I would eat tuna like it was nothing, I think once I figured out it was fish I put a stop to it! It's a mind over matter thing but I hate sea food! Now I just cant stand the smell of it ever since I was pregnant with KJ. I would seriously tell Kepu off if he ever opened a can of tuna while I was in the house!

7-I go through a cycle where I will grow out my hair for 2 1/2 years, perm it, and 6-10 months later chop it all off and start all over again. I'm not sure why I do this, I've just noticed that I've done it since I was in high school.
